वि·सं २००७ सालमा हालको छविपाथिभेरा वडा नं· १ को बगा भन्ने ठाउँमा गोबर्धन बहादुर सिंहले केही इच्छुक विद्यार्थीहरु जम्मा गरी बाह्रखरी सिकाउने र साथै घरबुना कपडा बुनाइका साथै जडिबुटीको ओषधीय प्रयोग सम्बन्धी ज्ञान दिन विद्यालय स्थापना गर्नुभएको इतिहास छ । उक्त विद्यालय केही समयपछि बन्द भयो । २००८ सालतिर रुद्र नारायण उपाध्यायले बाह्रखरी सिकाउने उद्देश्यले बगडगाउँको पिपल चौतारामा करिव एक वर्षसम्म विद्यालय सञ्चालन गर्नुभएको जानकारहरु बताउछन् । उक्त विद्यालय पनि कालान्तरमा बन्द भयो । २०१०/११ सालतिर चन्द्रजङ्ग बहादुर सिंहले करिव २ वर्ष आफैले अध्यापन गराइ पछि रिनारी उपाध्यायलाइ शिक्षक राखी पठनपाठन गराउनु भएको थियो ।सो विद्यालय पनि कालान्तरमा बन्द भयो । २०१५ सालमा बगडगाउँबाट करिव ६०० मिटर पश्चिमतिर रहेको देबधाट भन्ने ठाउँमा स्थानीयको सहयोगमा खरको झुपडी बनाइ पठनपाठन शुरु गरिएको थियो । यी विद्यालयहरु सबै अनुमति नभएका अनौपचारिक विद्यालय थिए ।
In 2007 B.S. at a place called Baga in present-day Chhabi Pathibhera Ward No. 1, Gobardhan Bahadur Singh gathered some interested students and established a school where he taught basic literacy (Bāhrakhari), weaving homemade clothes, and the medicinal use of herbs. This school was later closed. Around 2008 B.S. Rudra Narayan Upadhyay ran a school for about a year at the Pipal Chautara of Bagadgaon with the aim of teaching Bāhrakhari, but that school also eventually closed. In 2010/11 B.S. Chandrajung Bahadur Singh taught for about two years himself and later appointed Rinari Upadhyay as a teacher to continue the lessons, but this school too was eventually shut down. In 2015 B.S. with local support, a thatched hut was built at a place called Debdhat, about 600 meters west of Bagadgaon, and teaching began there. All these schools were informal and unapproved.
२०१५ सालको आम निर्वाचन पछि जहाँ जहाँ मतदाकेन्द्र रहेका थि त्यहाँ त्यहाँ एउटा प्राइमरी स्कुल खोल्ने भन्नरे तत्कालिन सरकारको निर्णए अनुसार ओपचारिकरुपमा वि·सं· २०१६ साल फागुन १६ गते श्री महेन्द्र प्राइमरी स्कुलको नामबाट विधिवत विद्यालयको स्थापना गरी छविसपाथिभेरा गाउँपालिका वडा नं· ५ चौघानपाटा बस्ने श्याम प्रसाद बोगटीले पठनपाठन शुरु गर्नुभयो । २०१६ सालदेखि २०२७ सालसम्म तत्कालिन डोटी गौडाबाट एकजना शिक्षक बराबर आर्थिक सहायता प्राप्त हुदै आएकोमा २०२७ सालबाट दुइजना शिक्षक बराबर आर्थिक सहायता प्राप्त हुन थाल्यो । देशमा रा·शि·प·यो· लागु भएपछि नि·मा·वि· तहसम्मको पठनपाठन शुरु गर्नुका साथै नाम परिवर्तन गरी जनप्रिय नि·मा·वि· बनाइयो ।
नि·मा·वि· भइसकेपछिसरकारी अनुदान पनि थप हुदै गयो ।केही मनकारी जग्गादाताले जग्गादान गरेर र केही स्थानीयबाट शुलभ मूल्यमा जग्गा खरिद गरी विद्यालयको हाता विस्तार गर्नुका साथै केही शक्षित एवं चेतनशील युवाहरुको अगुवाइमा वि·सं· २०४४ सालमा निजिस्रोतबाट खर्च बेहोर्ने गरी मा· वि· तहको पठनपाठन शुरु भयो । मा·वि·का रुपमा सञ्चालन भएको छोटो समयमै विद्यालयले विभिन्न क्षेत्र (शैक्षिक, खेलकुद, साँस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आदि )मा राम्रो सफलता प्राप्त गरी जिल्लाकै उत्कृष्ठ विद्यालयमा गनिन पुग्यो ।
समयको परिवर्तनसंगै माध्यमिक तहपछिको शिक्षाको बढ्दो मागलाइ पूरा गर्न समाजका अगुवाहरु, तत्कालिन विद्यालय सञ्चालक समिति, सेवाक्षेत्र भित्रका अभिभावकहरु, युवावर्ग र विद्यालयको पहलमा २०५३ सालमा तत्कालिन उ·मा·शि·प· बाट सम्बन्धन प्राप्त गरी जिल्लाकै पहिलो उच्च मा·वि· बन्न यो विद्यालय सफल भयो ।
२०४७ सालदेखि एस्·एल्·सी· र २०५४ सालदेखि कक्षा १२ को परीक्षामा सहभागिता जनाउदै आएको यस विद्यालयले धेरै पटक जिल्ला स्तरमा सेवोत्कृट नतिजा ल्याउन सफल भएको छ । २०५४ सालमा एस्·एल्·सी· मा उत्कृट नतिजा ल्याए बाफत शिक्षा मन्त्रालयबाट रु ७५०००।०० नगद पुरस्कार पाउनुका साथै २०६२ सालमा तत्कालिन उ·मा·शि·प· बाट क्षेत्रिय शिलड र नगद पुरस्कार पनि प्राप्त गरेको छ ।
स्थापनाकाल देखिनै जिल्लामा उत्कृट विद्यालयको रुपमा सञ्चालन भइरहेको यस विद्यालयलाइ नेपाल सरकार, शिक्षा विज्ञान तथा प्रविधि मन्त्रालयले २०७६ सालमा नमुना विद्यालयको रुपमा छनौट गरेको हो । हाल नमुना विद्यालयको रुपमा शैक्षिक तथा भौतिक विकासका विवध क्रियाकलाप सञ्चालन भैरहेको यस विद्यालय शैक्षिक, भौतिक, विद्यार्थीको शैक्षिक उपलब्धी, शिक्षक व्यवस्थापन, अतिरिक्त क्रियाकलापमा सहभागिता तथा नतिजा, सूचना प्रविधिको पहुँच तगाएतका विषयमा उत्कृट विद्यालयको रुपमा स्थापित छ ।
After the general election of 2015 B.S. the then government decided to open a primary school at every polling center. Accordingly, on Falgun 16, 2016 B.S. the school was formally established under the name Shree Mahendra Primary School, and Shyam Prasad Bogati of Chaughanpata, Ward No. 5, Chhabi Pathibhera, began teaching. From 2016 to 2027 B.S., financial assistance equivalent to one teacher was received from Doti Gauda, and from 2027 B.S. onwards, assistance for two teachers was provided. After the implementation of the National Education System Plan (NESP), teaching up to the lower secondary level began, and the school was renamed Janapriya Lower Secondary School.
With the upgrade to lower secondary, government grants increased. Some generous land donors donated plots, and some land was purchased at affordable prices, expanding the school premises. With the leadership of educated and conscious youths, in 2044 B.S. higher secondary classes were started with expenses covered from private sources. Within a short time, the school achieved success in various fields (education, sports, cultural programs, etc.) and was recognized as one of the best schools in the district.
As demand for post-secondary education grew, community leaders, the school management committee, parents, youths, and the school itself worked together, and in 2053 B.S. the school received affiliation from the then Higher Secondary Education Council, becoming the district’s first higher secondary school.
Since 2047 B.S., the school has participated in the SLC examinations, and since 2054 B.S. in the Grade 12 examinations, often achieving excellent district-level results. In 2054 B.S.the school received a cash prize of Rs. 75,000 from the Ministry of Education for outstanding SLC results, and in 2062 B.S. it was awarded a regional shield and cash prize by the Higher Secondary Education Council.
From its establishment, the school has operated as one of the district’s leading institutions. In 2076 B.S. the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, selected it as a Model School. At present, as a model school, it is conducting various educational and infrastructural development activities. It has established itself as an excellent school in terms of academics, infrastructure, student achievements, teacher management, participation in extracurricular activities, results, and access to information technology.
